Relax, unwind, explore, indulge: things to do in the Tarn

Things to do in the Tarn

Relax

Relax a while in the comfortable surroundings of Le Moulin.  Spend some time beside the pool, meander around the gardens and, when you’re ready, go a little further afield.

Close by we have some gentle walks and cycle routes for those who want to build up to a little exercise.

The roads in this part of the world are always quiet so a car journey into our local hilltop village of Cordes-sur-Ciel is a pleasure.  Le Petit Train means you don’t even have to climb the cobbled streets to enjoy the breathtaking views.

Unwind

Hiking, biking and kayaking are all great ways to have fun and forget work in the beautiful Tarn countryside.  We can direct you to routes that will take you through forests, lush rolling countryside and along tranquil waterways. Horse lovers and tennis players will be pleased to know that they’re catered for too.  A little peace of heaven for you to breathe in and enjoy.

Explore

Hilltop villages, bustling market towns, cathedrals and museums – there are so many things to do in the Tarn.

For those that love quaint little villages there are endless numbers.  If you want some big city culture, Toulouse provides the perfect destination and its just a hop from our local train station, Cordes-Vindrac.

From artisan savonneries to Albi’s art galleries, from twisting little alleyways to chateaux gardens there is something for everyone to discover.

Indulge

The vineyards of the Gaillac region produce some of the best wine in France – although don’t tell anyone about it!  If you fancy a little tour around the vineyards, the Route des Vins de Gaillac will lead you through the rolling countryside of the Gaillac region to 4 of the very best domaines.  You can sample wines and buy a bottle or two.

Under the stars and amongst the vines, an apero-concert will leave you with unbeatable holiday memories.  It’s our best-kept secret – until now!

And if you want to eat out, we can recommend some of the very best restaurants in some of the loveliest locations.
